  14. INDIVISION AGA SUCCESSFULLY INTRODUCED
  15.  
  16. After delivery of Indivision AGA has
  17. started about one week late this
  18. September, all units of the first
  19. production are already shipped to our
  20. resellers. We were prepared for a good
  21. demand, but are still surprised about
  22. the extremely high demand for a 24-bit
  23. flicker fixer. A second production run
  24. has already been started and it will
  25. be available in November of this year.
  26. Since our trade partners all have
  27. stock at this point, we don't expect a
  28. shortage in the coming weeks. One
  29. feature that many customers are
  30. pleased about is the HighGFX support
  31. of Indivision AGA. With the new flash
  32. update V1.2 alpha, we're extending
  33. screen modes to true HD720
  34. wide-screen-resolutions with up to
  35. 1280x720 pixels, displayed with more
  36. than 60Hz refresh rate. Special thanks
  37. goes to AndrI "Ratte" Pfeiffer, who
  38. adapted his HighGFX package especially
  39. for Indivision AGA.

  42. FLICKER FIXER FOR THE C64
  43.  
  44. On September 13th, we have announced
  45. our new product for the C64 at Back In
  46. Time Live in Stockholm, Sweden. We
  47. have worked on this product for the
  48. past two years together with developer
  49. Peter Wendrich. The result is an
  50. extremely user-friendly cartridge that
  51. can be used without opening the
  52. computer. It is just plugged to the
  53. expansion port of the C64. Technical
  54. data in short:

  85. MICROMYS V3 AVAILABLE IN NOVEMBER
  86.  
  87. The mouse-adapter Micromys V3 that we
  88. have already announced in December
  89. 2007 will finally be available in
  90. November 2008. We're proud to say that
  91. star-programmer Chris Hodges of
  92. Poseidon fame will be writing the
  93. Amiga-wheel drivers. His publications
  94. for the Amiga made him an excellent
  95. reputation in the Amiga market. He is
  96. filling a gap that Michael SchVttner
  97. has left after he could not start
  98. working for us because of family
  99. reasons. Another reason for the delay
  100. was the case: We could not find a
  101. vendor for a long time, but finally
  102. found someone who is willing to do the
  103. small quantities that we require. The
  104. picture below shows a first prototype
  105. that will be revised for
  106. mass-production. We decided to make a
  107. model with a cable in order to deal
  108. with space constraints on every desk.
  109. This design will allow installation on
  110. every narrow desk, even when a bulky
  111. USB-PS2 adapter is used.

  114. CATWEASEL MK4PLUS AVAILABLE
  115.  
  116. The Catweasel MK4plus is available
  117. starting today. It replaces the
  118. Catweasel MK4, which has been sold out
  119. earlier this year. The main changes
  120. are cosmetic, and we have followed
  121. customer feedback in some places. The
  122. one easily visible change is that the
  123. new card is no longer low-profile PCI
  124. compliant. This feature of the old
  125. Catweasel MK4 was rarely used by our
  126. customers, so we decided to use the
  127. increased space for a better
  128. arrangement of the two SID sockets.
  129. These are more easily accessible now.
  130. Additional filters in the audio part
  131. are geared towards filtering noise
  132. from high-performance graphics cards
  133. and low-quality power supplies.
  134. Another novelty is the external audio
  135. jack and an angled internal audio
  136. connector for better accessibility.
  137. The Catweasel MK4plus is delivered
  138. only with an English manual at first,
  139. a German translation will be made
  140. available in November of this year.

  145. LYRA 2: KEYBOARD ADAPTER WITH NEW
  146. FUNCTIONS
  147.  
  148. We've been delivering the keyboard
  149. adapter Lyra for eight years now. It
  150. allows connecting PC-keyboards to
  151. Amiga computers. We're now delivering
  152. a new version called Lyra 2 that
  153. implements a few new features
  154. requested by our customers. Lyra 2
  155. supports small-size keyboards without
  156. a numeric keypad, and
  157. multimedia-keyboards can be used with
  158. Guido Mersmann's tool MMKeyboard. The
  159. Amiga 1200 version now supports Amiga
  160. keyboards as well. The online manual
  161. gives an overview over the new
  162. functions. Just like the Catweasel
  163. manual, this manual is also available
  164. in English at this point. A German
  165. translation will be made available in
  166. November of this year. Lyra 2 is
  167. available from our trade partners
  168. starting today.

  171. C-ONE GOES AMIGA
  172.  
  173. The FPGA-based computer C-One is
  174. ageing. Despite that, it marks a
  175. milestone in computer history, because
  176. it's the world's first computer that
  177. is purely based on programmable logic
  178. chips that can re-program each other
  179. while the machine is running. In
  180. November of this year, we'll be
  181. providing an extension card that
  182. quadruples the FPGA space of the
  183. C-One. The board then has enough
  184. resources to run the "Minimig" core.
  185. C-One pioneer and FPGA-developer
  186. Tobias Gubener has invented a very
  187. special solution for his version of
  188. Minimig for the C-One: Not one, but
  189. two 68000-compatible processors are
  190. working in the FPGA extender. One of
  191. them does the job of the PIC
  192. controller on Dennis van Weeren's
  193. Minimig board, and the other replaces
  194. the physical 68000 CPU of the Minimig
  195. board. If you already own a C-One
  196. board, the extender can be bought for
  197. 99,- EUR from us. New boards are only
  198. delivered with the extender for a
  199. bundle-price of 333,- EUR. If you are
  200. interested in purchasing the extender
  201. only, please contact us in the coming
  202. weeks, so we can get an estimate of
  203. the required quantities.

  208. On October 17th and 18th 2008, the
  209. yearly Amiga-show "Amiwest" took place
  210. in Sacramento, California. We don't
  211. only exhibit there, but also
  212. co-sponsor the show. Together with our
  213. retail partner AmigaKit from England,
  214. we provide enough money to grant free
  215. admission to the show. Tickets for the
  216. banquet on Saturday evening are 29,-
  217. US Dollars each. Up-to-date
  218. information about the show can be
